This policy explains how information is handled when you use ClariText. We respect your privacy and aim to minimize data collection.
Information we collect
The app does not require an AlmobairikDevs account and does not directly collect your name, phone number, address, or payment information. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include in your message.
Lectures and YouTube content
The app displays religious lectures and related video content that may be hosted by YouTube. When you watch or interact with YouTube content, YouTube and Google may process information such as device information, IP address, viewing activity, cookies, or similar identifiers according to their own privacy policies and settings. AlmobairikDevs does not control how YouTube or Google process that information.
Bookmarks, playlists, and watch history
The app may store bookmarks, personal playlists, watch history, language preferences, and other settings on your device so that these features remain available when you use the app. This information is used only to provide the requested app features and is not sold by AlmobairikDevs.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, the app may receive notifications about newly available lectures, app updates, or other relevant content. Notification delivery may use services such as Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service. These services may process device tokens, technical identifiers, and delivery information required to send notifications. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.
Backend and third-party services
The app may use third-party infrastructure and services, including Firebase, Supabase, YouTube, Apple App Store, and Google Play. These providers may process technical, diagnostic, usage, security, or device information under their own privacy policies. AlmobairikDevs does not sell personal information and does not control the independent processing performed by these providers.
Khums and Zakat al-Fitr calculators
Values entered into the Khums or Zakat al-Fitr calculators are used to perform the calculation requested by you. The calculators provide general guidance and do not replace consultation with a qualified religious authority. AlmobairikDevs does not intentionally collect calculator values unless you deliberately send them to us, such as in a support message.
Data retention and security
Information stored locally by the app remains on your device until you remove it, clear the app data, or uninstall the app. Support correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your request and meet applicable legal obligations. We use reasonable safeguards, but no electronic storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children’s privacy
The app is intended for a general audience and is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent personal information directly to AlmobairikDevs, contact us so that we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Your choices
You can manage notification permissions, device permissions, and certain privacy settings through your device settings. You can also remove locally stored app information by clearing the app data or uninstalling the app. Privacy options for YouTube, Google, Apple, Firebase, Supabase, and other third-party services are controlled through those providers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app, its services, or applicable requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
